Some true facts about Al Qaeda and Bin Laden
I am currently reading the book : Al Qaeda by Jason Burke - As I find out more from this book I will fill you in on this particular post:
Bin Laden was born in Saudi Arabia - although his father came from The Yemen, which resulted in Osama never being Seen as A "Proper Saudi" - the son of a man who ran one of the largest Construction Companies in Saudi Arabia - most of his fortune came from rebuilding Saudi when The New King was put in power.
When Bin Laden went to Afghanistan during the Afghan / Russia conflict he was employed by The Saudi Secret Services to distribute funds to the Muhjadeen.
He then later became involved in the construction of training camps under the instruction of the Pakistani Services (who were know for a fact to be under instruction from the CIA - The CIA werent allowed in Afganistan). However these training camps were yet again being funded by The Saudis.
When Afghanistan was invaded by The Americans Al Qaeda became disbanded as there was no longer a base for them.
Even though the Americans and the world media would like you to the believe that the Jordanian ,who was killed in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was actually the Leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, he was actually a rival of Bin Laden and had absolutely nothing to do with Al Qaeda...
Another important fact that musnt be forgotten is when Iraq invaded Kuwait. Bin Laden warned that Saddam, the very incarnation of a secular "hypocrite", might threaten the Land of The Two Holy Places (Saudi Arabia)
